Photos become our visual memories.  They are the one item that we keep in life and always return to when we want to remember a specific event in our lives or that cute age of someone in our family.  I love looking back at pictures when the kids were little and so do they.  I also enjoy looking at the background of the picture; it reminds you of all those old things you use to decorate your home with and how grateful you are you got rid of that old dried flower arrangement:)

So when I get invited to a baby shower I love to give the gift of memory.  So I make a cute little picture book for them to keep those special memories that make them smile.

These are just a few of the pages I did today for Kaitlin.  She is obviously having a little girl and I think she will really enjoy this book.  I wish I would of had some cute ones when my kids were little.

A long time ago I made a scrapbook page that said "Parts" on it with six little squares like this one.  Each little square will hold a picture of all the cute little close-up parts of the baby.  I just love that, babies parts are so adorable, they always make you smile!

The fun thing about weddings is choosing a gift for the couple.  Of course that's because I love to go shopping! Now I don't remember every thing I got for my wedding or who gave it to me, but there are a few items that have stood out over the 30 years.  Yes, 30 years, I have been married that long!  For instance, like the salad bowl we received from a cousin (it must have been the year for salad bowl because we got a TON of them) and on the inside of the bowl was a small card from his cousin that was addressed to him (the cousin)............and then there was another card inside that was to the first person from someone else!  It was hilarious, I often wish we would have saved it and just passed it on, collecting all of the cards and adding them to the inside.  I wonder where it would have ended up today.  That would be something fun to try in the future:)
I like to give something meaningful, however if I find myself not prepared that doesn't always happen.  But here is an example of being prepared.  I collect old frames and then give them a make-over.  Some are sanded and some are painted.  Then I just start filling them.  I usually start with some paper and then start adding embellishments, which are my favorite.  Usually when you are starting out, you don't always think of what you will put on your walls, your just concerned with filling the home with supplies, so I thought this would be something to help the couple get started.  Depending on the size, these will start at $30 and go up from there.  Let me know if you are interested!  I love making these and sharing them with you!
